Pelvic Floor Rehab at Populace

Hello wonderful patients of Populace. As many of you know, I studied hard with Herman & Wallace, a pelvic rehab institute, to bring more specialized care into the studio. I’m a long time endo-lifer (endometriosis) with several surgeries “under my belt”, so successfully managing the symptoms of this incurable pelvic disease from both the patient side, and the provider side, is of deep importance to me. And, the experience has of course motivated me to help others, with their own range of sometimes inconvenient, sometimes debilitating pelvic symptoms and conditions.

If you or someone you know has a pelvic floor rehab need, I am here.

Some conditions that may benefit from the pelvic floor rehab care at Populace include: endometriosis, post-surgical restrictions or scarring, decreased pelvic floor mobility, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence/difficulty starting or stopping the stream, trans care (non-op/pre-op/post-op), vulvodynia, vaginismus, lichens schlerosis, interstitial cystits, pelvic organ prolapse.

If you are unsure whether or not this is the right care for you, please feel welcome to schedule a phone consult at any time by texting your request to (541) 521-3090. You will receive a reply by the next admin. day of business for Populace Wellness.

FAQ:

Q: Do I need a doctor’s referral to get started?

A: No, but a referral can help if you plan to get reimbursed by your insurance. Some people find it helps to see an OB and receive a medical diagnosis when dealing with their ongoing pelvic conditions.

Q: Can I pay for this care with my insurance?

A: Not yet, but that is a possibility in the future. For now, Populace Wellness can provide a bill after care, that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Q: Can I attend some pelvic rehab appointments as a returning patient and then switch back to non-pelvic care when I need it?

A: Yes, you only come in for pelvic rehab when that is the care you both want and need. The follow up visits for that issue will also be pelvic floor. Then, when you feel your pelvic floor care is managed, you can schedule a non-pelvic combination therapy appt.

Q: Will you use massage, chiro, herbalism and rehab in the pelvic care appointments, like you do in the 60-75 minute “combination therapy” appointments that I’m used to?

A: Yes, but not always “everything”. The pelvic rehab appointments will be focused on working to improve the function of your pelvic floor (muscles, bones and joints). So, though we may sometimes work on a smaller section of the body in these appointments, we will always aim to engage the comprehensive care that is called for that day, within the time we have.

Q: What if I can’t afford your services?

A: Please feel warmly welcomed to inquire about income-adjusted pricing options. I have a limited number of these visits available per quarter, so if none are available this season, you can always try back at the start of the next 3 month block. *Please see the quarterly calendar below. I charge $330 for a new patient wellness 60-75 minute session, and $260 for a returning patient visit of the same length. If it has been more than 7 mo, please schedule a longer appt, to leave room for an updated intake. You are welcome to text me if you are unsure how to do this (541) 521-3090. Thanks so much.

Please text me with any further questions. We can set up a time to talk or discuss via text during open business hours. You can email as well, but the response will likely be slower.

I am honored to be a part of the pelvic floor rehab community and will do my best to provide this physio rehab care with patience, integrity and humility.

See you in the studio,
