Hello Wonderful Patients of Populace,
The Winter quarter of availability is now posted. There are a few changes this season.
First the difficult news. Providence Insurance appointments will be put on hold until their new and more complex reimbursement policies are better understood. All Providence patients are welcome to pay for their care out of pocket and then request a super-bill, to seek their own insurance reimbursement. However, Populace will not assist with Providence Insurance reimbursement tasks at this time, beyond the provision of the detailed super-bill. Updates to this change will be posted when more information is available.
Second, the neutral news. As of this month, CHP Kaiser has officially changed their name to Heraya in the clearing houses. If you see confusing billing denials from Heraya, please be patient. Some claims may need to be re-submitted under the new code, if the old CHP code was recently denied. This may or may not happen. Also, as usual at Populace, if you are a Heraya patient, it is recommended to grab your preferred winter appointment times soon, as we all know that they tend to go quickly.
And finally, some very good news. Populace Wellness returned to full time availability in late Autumn and the full time hours will remain open for Winter/indefinitely at this time. It is a beautiful thing to witness healing, in others and one’s self. Thank goodness for focused research and modern medicine :) Populace wouldn’t be here without it.
I hope most of you were able to enjoy this evening’s colorful light show from 4-5pm today (1/4/26). Whew what a beaut. There were yellow and black storm clouds, blue sky under a pink and red sunset, and no less than 3 rainbows at a time. Here’s an unfiltered south facing view from when it was nearly over.
Merry returning of the light to all,
Dr. Turner LMT DC, pelvic floor rehabist
